Buy agricultural products in season produced in Cherokee County from local farmers, gardeners, artisans, and nurseries!
The Cherokee Fresh Market opens
on the last Saturday in May annually. It then will be open from 9am 'til noon
every Saturday through the first weekend in September.
Here's a sampling of what you'll find at the market: Tomatoes, 'Silver Queen'
corn, 'Truckers Favorite' corn and other heritage sweet corn varieties, okra,
peppers of all kinds, cucumbers, Texas Sweet onions (the webmaster's favorite!),
lettuce, spinach, green beans, new potatoes and sweet potatoes, peanuts, etc.
We'll also have a field of fresh cut flowers, such as, zinnias, gladiolas and
cosmos. Additionally, there may fresh selections such as be bedding plants,
shrubs, trees, nursery items, local crafts, artisan breads and cheeses, herbal
and organic offerings!
Bring the whole family out to the Market to see what "farm fresh" really
means. You'll find something for everyone.
